A 67-year-old Hernando County motorcyclist was killed in a freak accident last week while riding a trike in Lake County.
On March 2, the man was headed west on State Road 44 when a plastic banner advertisement detached from its post and landed on the windshield of his three-wheel motorcycle.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man lost control of the bike and slammed into a wall.
The Spring Hill man was rushed to Florida Hospital DeLand, where he died.
Troopers said the man was wearing a helmet.
The crash is still currently under investigation.
