A 29-year-old woman lost control of her motorcycle on Bayshore Boulevard early Monday morning and died following the crash.
Officials say she was wearing her helmet while riding her 2013 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when she entered a bicycle lane and hit the curb.
She lost control of the bike after striking the curb and travelling through some standing water. She was ejected from the motorcycle and hit a concrete monument, according to police.
The woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital where she died from her injuries.
