Teen Struck by Vehicle Following Spring Hill Crash

A teen boy was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a three-vehicle auto accident in Spring Hill.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 14-year-old boy was a passenger in a car that was involved in a crash at Mariner and Wexler boulevards shortly before 7 a.m.

Troopers believe that when the teen got out of the car after the collision, he was struck by another vehicle.

According to troopers, the boy’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Multiple ambulances were called to the scene following the wreck. Mariner Boulevard was shut down to allow for a helicopter to land and airlift the boy to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Details of the crash have not been released yet.
